Valentine’s Day often brings to mind rich red roses, vivid pinks, maybe even a little bit of sparkle. For some reason this year I really got excited about creating and stylizing a Valentine’s Day bridal inspiration for the holiday. However this shoot, though V-day inspired, is far from booming reds and sparkles. Besides the color scheme, this editorial styled shoot may also seem different since I am a Alaska destination wedding photographer, yet this set doesn’t contain any mountains or snow. When discussing what I had in mind for these photos with fellow creative Tanya Val, we wanted to do something totally different from our usual, and we both knew an indoor stylized set was exactly what we wanted. Muted blush tones, a few pops of spring, black candles, and a few modern gatsby-esque details brought our vision to life. I hope you enjoy this set of images, I loved putting this together. Being part of the whole stylizing process so hands-on was new to me, and SO fun. Be sure to check out Tanya and all her amazing florals here.
